Our Why
We’ve all heard the stories: women mistreated while shopping for their wedding dress. Stylists who are snobby if you’re not a sample size or spending a fortune. Body and budget shaming. Sadly, these aren’t rare - they’re real experiences. And why should the brides of the Riverina have to travel only to risk having a less than amazing experience?
When we realised the last bridal shop in Wagga had closed, we knew regional and rural women needed and deserved this. Brides across the Riverina shouldn’t have to spend a fortune in time and money to travel hours to Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne just to find beautiful gowns. This is where we come in!
We had a lightbulb moment - our family loves Wagga, our children were born and raised and went to school there. It is familiar and we care. And we have more than 8 years experience honing the fine art of an incredible bridal experience.
We opened Heartland Brides to bring a beautiful, inclusive dress shopping experience without needing to travel far, to the women of Wagga and the wider Riverina. We’ve invested in this region because we love it and we firmly believe rural women want to support local and shop local. We believe we will be warmly embraced by this vibrant, welcoming community.
We named our shop Heartland Brides because the Riverina is the heartland of New South Wales, and our store aims to be the heart of the Heartland.

We’ve created a large, beautiful, calm, and welcoming space designed for one-on-one attention, where every woman is treated with the care and respect she deserves - no matter her size, background, or budget.
We proudly stock thoughtfully curated styles in sizes 6–36, because inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We’ve invested deeply in offering gowns across a range of silhouettes, fabrics, and price points, so every bride can find something that feels perfect - visually, financially, and emotionally.
Here, you’ll be listened to. You’ll be seen and heard. We notice the little things, guiding you through each gown so you can make an informed, confident decision. So many brides arrive feeling nervous or unsure and leave excited, radiant, and completely at ease. We’ll take care of you like family.

Extensive Sample Sizes
We will never tell you to "just imagine it in your size." We mindfully buy our samples across all sizes so zips do up on every body. So more women can experience the joy of finding a dress that truly fits. We never want to make you feel bad about your body.

Our Community Involvement
We support as many local community events, fundraisers and school fetes as we possibly can including Share The Dignity, The Homeless Hub, The Nowra Show Young Woman Programme and Bravehearts.
In January 2023 our owner Kim agreed to take part in "Stars of Nowra" the major Cancer Council of NSW yearly fundraiser. Dedicating 12 weeks to raising money for local cancer patients whilst also learning a dance routine and running the shop full time we were super proud of her committment.
Raising $44,000 for the Cancer Council and taking out the Awards for Best Dance and the Community Spirit Award was a highlight of our year and an example of our dedication to uplifting our community.
